Final Fighter -> W.I.P <-

As I try to find yet another host for my site and struggle trying not to quit gm, I've decided I may pick back up with Final Fighter, only this time using a new engine I just made and a brand new roster of playable characters! I'm currently in need of characters to fill the game with (my goal is 8 to 10) so if you want to have your character in (must be custom-made - some edits are fine) then post them below you must have:

Spoiler:

1. Attacks (at least two - one fierce - one weak think smash bros!)
2. Blocking stance
3. Falling and jumping animation
4. Running and standing
5. Finale Attack = Final Smash

Already confirmed characters:
Gyrald - snowland, AOW - 100%
Tedius - snowland, AOW - 100%
Fario Brothers - Fario Bros. - 100%
Model X - N/A 99% - (Finale Attack won't work)
Light - N/A -100%
Nappse -DDNN - 100%
Robo - 40%

Pending characters:
Enox - Sonic MM - DDNN

mavrikgames how long can you wait? i've got an edit of a sonic advance sprite, but i haven't finished it yet. if it's in there, call it Enox winking

here's a preview:



i'll have all the stances and everything once i get done spriting, it will just take a while to finish the whole sheet...i'm very busy right now, trying to finish sonic mystic machine, and i've got the blog to keep up with, so it may be a while.

You don't have to rush or anything anytime is fine at least before the beta which could be a while.

Anyone else?

Oh and uhh I'm not giving alot for you all to go on so let me make a few "announcements":

Features

  • Game will have trophy gallery
  • Possibility of a space emesscy type mode = Story Mode
  • Mutiman Versus = A survival mode
  • A.I. Versus = Not needed to be explained!
  • Finale Ball - The name of the smash ball in this game. When hit you can unless your finale attack!

I've currently got two people almost done. I'm adding a Ice Climber- type character(s) called the Fario Brothers and am even adding characters to future games I'm hoping to make or abandoned. Additionally:

The Deep Space - Story Mode
Space Emacssy clone! Only it works differently. While traveling you can switch characters you have on the fly and they get their hp recovered when switched. But, if you die with one character you have to start over from the point you left off.

That's all for now. :D Please if you want to add your character then post them now cuz I'd like to get all characters out of the way early.

I've got the ai for a few characters done as well as the player(s) chars but, I need help on two player selection. Anyone know how to do this?

Oh and I'll propoly post pics later of some levels and such.

I've gotten lots of work done! I only need to add a few other characters (Falugi, Gyrald, Enox.... Maybe Robo..)So far only practice is playable. I'm gonna try to develop a easy way of coding the game so that it can detect to choices today so that A.I. versus can be done with.

I've contacted my pal Robo and now I've confirmed that Robo will be perticipating in this game. (If ya don't know who this person or character is then serach YYG for "Robo". Robo is from a game called Robo: Bluelite Rocks created by Robo.) Additionally, every mode is playable except mutiman which needs a timer function and story mode of course.

Cool! The only thing I need from ya know is a finale attack (final smash). Unless you just want me to link his sword attacks and punch/kick attacks into a furious combo. (Much like Ike..)

Heres instructions on his attack.
1. He raises his Sword ( Aim arrows )
2. He drops his sword ( Fire Arrows )
3. A volley of arrows for 5 seconds!

lol reminds me of that trailer for the new mummy movie.
Cool though, you had alot of extra attacks (since I'm not using my wierd combo code in this game) so your character may be a bit more flexible than the others which is good.

Oh btw, on top of tester can I be in the game as well?

I realize it isn't my own work HOWEVER, where I got was credit uneeded.

You know the sprite sheet Nappse and everyone else uses for me all the time? You know that red dragon...

Do you think you could do that?

Attacks: Not a supreme mix-up...

Simple: Includes Swipes: Left Weak Claw, Right Weak Claw, Strong Claw or Tail.

Strong: Rush Foward left or right, OR a bite at the sky? Laughing

Special: A classic... dragons not complete without it. Firebreath, however kinda like Charizard's firebreath it runs out.

Critical/Finale: Firestorm, breathes fire into the air and it comes crashing down in a chaotic fire rain.



It's 100% ok if I'm not in it as I'm going to require more work than everyone else because of two reasons:

You may have to tweak some of the given sprites to fit attack animations.

I cannot do it for you as I will not give a good quality picture, we all know I have stated I am TERRIBLE at spriting.

So don't include me if you don't want to go through that trouble, I'll be fine if I'm not in it winking

FAINALLY I CAN RESPOND!

I've got some work done but, unfortently, Nappse's finisher and one of my chars "Model G" seems to be having some animation problems. Napse's arrows look pasted but, I've done the best I can for now (you'll see what I mean later, and Model G's finisher won't work STILL)

Well, I got Nappse in (his special is a bit wierd animated but, he's in...) but, let me see the sheet first then I will decide.

Cool, so you wanna test the game or you wanna help design aspects of the game. (Every mode is currently "DONE" except story and maybe a mode I may add to replace the shop option shown in older screens.

It's going well considering two problems mentioned above!
Plus, I'm deciding weather or not to scrap the "shop" option or not. I've also added a new boss character named Tolfane (Tol-Fa-ne). I may make him a playable character.

lol see that'll fix the problem but, if it's not asking much could ya make a arrow sprite? I would be kinda hard to make one by just countless C+Ping.
